“Congratulations, Gary and congratulations to the Academy for awarding not one, but two abusers with Oscars,” Fiorentino told TMZ, seemingly referring to Kobe Bryant, who was charged with sexual assault in 2003. “I thought we had evolved. What happened to the #MeToo movement?”
Fiorentino, who was married to the “Darkest Hour” star for four years from 1997 to 2001, previously accused Oldman of being physically and emotionally abusive throughout their marriage, claiming he once beat her with a phone.
The 59-year-old “Harry Potter” actor denied Fiorentino’s allegations, saying they were fighting for the phone and it accidentally hit her.
No charges were filed, and a judge ultimately granted Oldman with custody of their two kids.
Oldman is currently married to his fifth wife, Gisele Schmidt.
