Nev Schulman denies sexual harassment claims

A woman who appeared on “Catfish” has accused host Nev Schulman of sexual harassment, but he adamantly denies the allegations.

Ayissha Morgan, who appeared on Season Four of the MTV series in 2015, made accusations against the host on YouTube, using the pseudonym “Jack” for “the main guy on the show,” which many believe refers to Schulman, 33.

“The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false,” Schulman told Page Six in a statement on Thursday.

Morgan, 20, who identifies as a lesbian, claims that when filming “Catfish,” Jack repeatedly questioned her sexuality. “He just kept asking me, ‘Are you a lesbian or are you bisexual?’ I was like, ‘I’m a lesbian for the 50th f—king time,’” she recalled.

When she found herself alone with Jack before they flew to Houston to film — despite having a female producer assigned to accompany her — Morgan alleges Jack told her, “I don’t think you’re a lesbian … I don’t think you met the right guy yet, do you think I’m attractive?”

She also alleges Jack told her he had a large penis and she should have sex with him to “evaluate” her sexuality.

Once in Houston, Morgan says Jack repeatedly joked that they were sharing a hotel room, hinting that they “could” if she wanted and asked her to hang out.

She agreed to hang out with the host and claims that once at the hotel, they watched TV in her hotel room while each sitting on separate beds. She alleges that Jack asked her if she wanted to cuddle, but she declined and he exited the room. She claims that Jack sent her heart-eye and kissy-face emojis on Instagram and invited her to his hotel room.

“It got to the point where it so excessive that it was annoying,” she says of Jack’s attention.

In a second video — that Morgan promised to viewers if her first clip reached 500 likes — Morgan also accuses an unnamed female production assistant, who she calls “Carol,” of sexual assault. After a night spent drinking beer at the same hotel, Morgan claims she slipped in and out of consciousness while in Carol’s room and “woke up and she was on top of me.”

Morgan alleges that the next day, the crew openly made jokes about Carol “getting lucky.”

Jack and “John” (who some viewers allege is “Catfish” co-host Max Joseph) allegedly approached Morgan and invited her to Jack’s room. She went, under the impression that John would also be there, but John left. While there, Morgan joked that she’d like to be Jack’s female co-host and alleges that he replied, “What are you willing to do for it?”

Morgan alleges Jack asked her for details of her encounter with Carol the previous evening and told her, “How about you do what you did to Carol but on me?” and laid on the bed. At that point, Morgan says he grabbed her arm but she pulled away and exited the room.

An MTV spokesperson told Page Six, “We take these allegations very seriously.  We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.”

A former “Catfish” crew member told Page Six, “I have a lot of doubts, probably because she over the years has remembered a lot of the basics wrong. A lot of that just couldn’t have happened the way that she said it” because of the show’s filming schedule.

While the former crew member admits that when he was between relationships Schulman “could flirt,” the crew member “never heard of him being that gratuitous. She said he was talking about the size of his d—k, which I don’t think he would ever do. That just isn’t his style.

As far as Schulman’s alleged homophobic comments about Morgan, the show source told us that “a lot of the crew is gay … It just doesn’t sound like what [Schulman] does.”

A source close to Schulman claimed the host had no idea about Morgan’s alleged assault and did not specifically comment on those allegations.
