‘Stranger Things’ creators accused of verbally abusing women on set

“Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer have been accused of insults, threats and verbally abusing women on the set of the popular Netflix sci-fi show.

Peyton Brown, a former grip on the crew during the Emmy-nominated show’s first two seasons, said she wouldn’t return for a third because she “personally witnessed two men in high positions of power on that set seek out and verbally abuse multiple women,” she wrote on Instagram Thursday.

In a reply to a comment on her post, Brown confirmed she was referring to the Duffer brothers, adding, “there was yelling, there were insults, there were threats and people even fired or forced to quit because of them,” according to a screenshot captured by Entertainment Tonight.

Brown deleted the original post with the comments implicating the Duffers within a few hours and then re-published without naming them.

Netflix and an attorney for the Duffers didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
