‘Transparent’ cast ‘shell-shocked’ over Jeffrey Tambor exit

Following Jeffrey Tambor’s departure from “Transparent” after sexual harassment allegations, his former co-star Judith Light revealed the two haven’t stayed in touch.

“I have not spoken to him,” Light, 69, told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday. “Everybody’s a little shell-shocked, I would say.”

Amazon confirmed in February that Tambor, 73, would not be returning to the critically acclaimed series following the network’s investigation into multiple allegations of on-set sexual harassment.

“I am profoundly disappointed in Amazon’s handling of these false accusations against me,” Emmy-winning Tambor said in a statement following his ouster. “I am even more disappointed in [show creator] Jill Soloway’s unfair characterization of me as someone who would ever cause harm to any of my fellow cast mates.”

He added, “As I have consistently stated, I deeply regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone and I will continue to vehemently defend myself.”

With the writers reportedly at work on Season 5, Light is hopeful about the future of the show.

“Yes, we’re looking at a fifth season, and we’ll see when we’re gonna shoot that. So, we’ll see,” she said.

Light portrays the ex-wife of Tambor’s character on the series.
